Softball gears up for OAC Tournament Championship run
The Muskingum softball team is set to begin its quest for an Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament title on Thursday, May 8. Entering as the No. 4 seed, the Muskies will take on top-seeded Baldwin Wallace at 3:00 p.m. Baldwin Wallace will serve as the host for the tournament.

The tournament is a double-elimination format, with the tournament champion receiving an NCAA Tournament automatic bid.

Muskingum – Inside the Numbers
- Junior Cara Taylor led the way for Muskingum at the plate, closing the season with a team-high .414 batting average. She recorded 46 hits, including 12 doubles, while scoring 28 runs and collecting 14 RBIs.
- Freshman Kasey Timko was a key contributor, batting .386 with 44 hits, seven doubles, three triples, and a home run. Timko led the team with 28 RBIs and scored 20 runs.
- Freshman Mattie Bailey added consistent production, finishing with a .338 average. She totaled 25 hits, three doubles, 12 RBIs, and 13 runs.
- Sophomore Tareyn Born provided power for the Muskies, launching a team-leading four home runs. She hit .246 with 16 hits, nine RBIs, and seven runs. In the pitching circle, Born finished the regular season with five wins and a save. She chalked up 71 strikeouts and posted a 2.58 ERA.
- Sophomore Bethany Rodman added 12 hits, three home runs, 12 RBIs, and 10 runs. As a pitcher, Rodman notched eight wins, recorded 43 strikeouts, and posted a 3.35 ERA.

- Earlier this season, the Muskies split their doubleheader with Baldwin Wallace. Muskingum opened strong with a commanding 5-1 win in game one, before falling in a close 3-1 battle in game two.

- Sophomore Bethany Rodman led the charge with a grand slam and a double, tallying four RBIs and a run. She also shined in the circle, pitching a complete game with four hits and three strikeouts.
