The Muskingum STUNT team beat Maryville, St. Mary's, and Heidelberg at the Muskingum Tournament on Saturday at the Steele Center.
Game 1: Muskingum vs. Maryville
Muskingum opened the day with a strong performance against Maryville, securing a 12–2 victory. The Muskies came out sharp in the first quarter, quickly building a 3–0 lead and setting the tone early. Their momentum carried into the middle of the match as Muskingum continued to execute clean routines and extend the advantage. By the fourth quarter, the Muskies had full control, finishing off the match with a double-digit win to start the day on a high note.
Game 2: Muskingum vs. St. Mary's
In the most competitive matchup of the day, Muskingum battled St. Mary's in a tightly contested match that went down to the final routines. The teams were tied 2–2 after the first quarter, 5–5 at halftime, and 10–10 entering the fourth quarter. Muskingum delivered key performances late, including a strong 4–1 routine win early in the fourth quarter to gain the lead. St. Mary's pushed back, but the Muskies held their edge to secure a thrilling 20–19 victory.
Game 3: Muskingum vs. Heidelberg
Prior to the game, Muskingum recognized returning Alumni.
Muskingum closed the day with a dominant showing against Heidelberg, earning a 22–5 win. The Muskies set the tone immediately, sweeping the first two quarters to take a 6–0 lead at halftime. Their consistency continued in the second half as they expanded the lead with strong partner and team routines. Muskingum finished the match in commanding fashion, capping off the day with a 17-point victory in front of the home crowd at the Steele Center.
