The Muskingum men's lacrosse team dropped a home OAC matchup against Mount Union on Wednesday night, 14-7.
The Basics

How it Happened
- Using early offense, Mount Union built a quick 5-2 lead after the first quarter of play.
- The Purple Raiders added two more goals in the second quarter to push their lead to 7-2 heading into halftime.
- Out of the break, Mount Union outscore the Muskies in the third quarter 4-1 to take an 11-3 lead into the final frame.
- Showing resilience until the end, the Muskies outscored Mount Union 4-3 in the fourth quarter, but it was the Purple Raiders who secured the 14-7 victory.
Inside the Numbers
- The Muskies were led by junior Nathan Robey who registered two goals on the night.
- Junior Maxwell Pezzot, junior Michael Honeycutt, sophomore Spencer Zecchini, sophomore Grant Webster, and sophomore Travis Geyer each registered one goal apiece for the Muskies as well.
- Sophomore Trevor Connolly tallied 12 saves in net for the Muskies, while freshman Drew Schneider tallied a team-high five ground balls.
- The Purple Raiders were led by Alek Kungle who finished with six goals and one assist on the night.
