The Muskingum men’s bowling team competed in the Ohio Bowling Conference Championships over the weekend to conclude OBC action. The Muskies placed seventh out of a 12-team field.
Behind Ethan McDonald’s fourth-place finish, the Muskingum men’s bowling team won the Ohio Bowling Conference Regular-Season Championship on Saturday at Wayne Webb’s Bowling alley. Muskingum won the event out of a 13-team field with a team total of 7,333.
Sophomore James McConnaughey bowled a three-game series of 669 (264-225-180) en route to finishing second out of a 137-bowler field, at the Ohio Conference event on Saturday at Wayne Webb’s Bowling Alley. The Muskingum men’s bowling team won the event out of a 13-team field with a score of 6695.
The Muskingum men’s bowling team wrapped up their last tournament of 2021 placing fifth out of a 21-team field at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic on Wednesday and Thursday at Jordan Lanes.
Freshman Justin Veal bowled an outstanding 300 game on Saturday at the BG Falcon Classic held at Interstate Lanes in Toledo. Veal rolled a team-best 1072 series (169-185-300-227-191) en route to finishing 16th out of a 166-bowler field. The Muskies placed eighth out of a 23-team field.
Freshman Evan Thro bowled a school-record 956 (193-258-267-238) series en route to finishing first out of a 163-bowler field, at the Ohio Bowling Conference event on Saturday. The Muskingum Men’s bowling team continued their solid performance breaking the school-record for team score notching a 1088. The Muskies won the event out of a 15-team field.
Freshman Justin Veal led the Muskies with a 2nd-place finish in the 70-bowler field to lift the Muskingum Men’s Bowling team to a second-place finish in a 14-team field at the Ohio Bowling Conference event held at Palace in Columbus on Saturday.
