With the loss, Muskingum now stands at 6-17 overall and 3-13 in the OAC. The Muskies sit in ninth place in the league. The top eight teams at the end of the OAC regular season advance to the OAC Tournament. Muskingum next hosts Wilmington on Wednesday, February 18. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
Freshman Rickey Wilson led the team with a career-high 16 points. Junior Cody Seiler added 10 points.
Sophomore Malik Billingsley had eight points and senior Logan Kimble scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds. Kimble has now scored 1,018 points during his Muskie tenure.
Muskingum ended the game shooting .455 (25-of-55).
Ohio Northern (11-12, 6-10) was paced by Devon Allen who led five players in double-figures with 15 points. Isaiah Roux and Travis Feitshans each added 12 points.
The Polar Bears shot .455 (30-of-66) from the floor and ended the outing with a 49-27 advantage in rebounds.
Ohio Northern used a 21-10 run over a six-minute span midway through the first half to build a 31-20 lead. The Polar Bears took a 47-36 lead into the intermission.
In the second half, Ohio Northern maintained its edge through the 20 minutes en route to the home win.
