Muskies fall against Bethany

The Muskingum men's basketball team lost at home against Bethany on Tuesday night, 77-57.

The Muskies were led by junior Cody Seiler who scored a team-high 18 points with seven rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block.

Senior Logan Kimble added 10 points and six rebounds. Sophomore Joshua Keyes grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds and had eight points.

Muskingum (1-3) ended the game shooting .311 (19-of-61) from the floor. The Muskies were haunted by 22 turnovers, which Bethany converted into 25 points.

Bethany (3-1) was paced by Delonte' Joyce who scored a game-high 34 points, with nine steals, seven rebounds and five assists. Darrian Bruster had 12 points and Antonio Rudolph and Jeff Joynes each added 10 points.

The Bison shot .426 (23-of-54) from the field and ended the outing with 17 steals.

Bethany used a 15-3 run at the end of the first half to erase a four-point deficit en route to taking a 35-27 lead into the break.

In the second half, Bethany maintained its advantage and led by as many as 23 late in the contest.

Muskingum next plays at Washington & Jefferson on Saturday, November 29. Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
