Bush strikes out career-high 14 batters in loss to John Carroll

Sophomore Brayden Bush struck out a career-high 14 batters in an 8-1 loss in game Game 1. While in Game 2 the Muskies slipped in eight innings, 13-1.

• Bush earned the start on the mound for the Muskies and pitched the first 5.2 innings. He allowed seven runs off six hits and struck out a career-best 14 batters.
• Junior Brett Carson led the Muskie offense with two hits and one RBI including a home run.

• Stewart hit a two run RBI double to give Muskingum a 3-1 lead in the second.
• The Blue Streaks gained a run in the fifth inning to cut the deficit to 3-2.
• The Muskies increased their lead to 4-2 off a Carson solo shot.
• John Carroll used a 5-0 run in the sixth inning to take the lead, 7-4.
• The Blue Streaks earned another run in the ninth to make the final score, 8-4.

• Carson pitched the first five innings for the Muskies allowing five runs off six hits and notched a season-high seven strikeouts.

• John Carroll used a 5-0 run to increase their lead, 10-0.
• The Muskies scored their lone run in the seventh off an RBI single from Yoder to make it, 10-1.
• The Blue Streaks scored three more runs in the eighth to make the final score, 13-1.
