Baseball falls in road doubleheader to Mount Union

The Muskingum baseball team fell in a road doubleheader to Mount Union in OAC action on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies lost Game 1, 9-7, and fell in the nightcap, 8-1.

• Sophomore Brayden Bush started on the mound for the Muskies, pitching the first 3.2 innings allowing eight runs off six hits.
• Sophomore Devin Ryan led the Muskies going 4-for-5 with one RBI.
• Junior Brett Carson added three hits with two doubles, one home run, and two RBIs.
• Senior Matt Stewart chipped in two hits for Muskingum.

• The Muskies started the scoring in the first inning with an RBI from junior Chayce Lundell.

• The Purple Raiders regained the lead in the third inning from a Mazza home run.
• Mount Union used a 6-0 run in the next several innings to secure the win, 8-1.
