Huey Named OAC Coach of the Year, Clayton Named Libero of the Year, Krous, Clayton, Johnson, and Niemeyer Earn All-Conference Honors
Muskingum Volleyball Head Coach Taylour Huey has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, while junior Katharine Clayton was honored as the OAC Witte-Zicha Libero of the Year. Additionally, junior Mackenzie Krous earned First Team All-OAC honors, Clayton was selected to the Second Team All-OAC, and seniors Emma Johnson and Josie Niemeyer received Honorable Mention All-OAC recognition. All awards are voted on by league coaches.

In her second season at the helm, Coach Huey guided Muskingum to a standout year, finishing with an 18-9 overall record and a 6-2 mark in OAC play, earning the program a third-place conference finish and a berth in the OAC Tournament. The Muskies were dominant defensively, ranking first in the OAC in digs per set (20.34) and second in opponent hitting percentage (.146), while also finishing third in hitting percentage (.197), assists (11.3 APS), and third in kills (12.5 KPS). Under Huey's leadership, Muskingum recorded its most conference wins since 2021. Her Coach of the Year honor highlights the program's continued rise under her direction.
Clayton anchored the Muskies' backcourt all season, earning OAC Libero of the Year and Second Team All-OAC honors for her elite defensive play. She was recognized four times during the season as the OAC Defensive Player of the Week. The junior libero was a constant force on the floor, leading Muskingum in digs and ranking third among conference leaders in digs per set. Her energy, communication, and consistency provided the backbone of the team's defensive identity.
Krous made a major impact offensively, securing First Team All-OAC honors after a standout junior season. She emerged as one of the OAC's top all-around players, leading the conference in total kills and ranking second in kills per set. Her powerful presence at the net was instrumental in Muskingum's success.
Seniors Emma Johnson and Josie Niemeyer capped off their Muskie careers with Honorable Mention All-OAC honors. Johnson provided steady production, finishing second on the team in kills, while Niemeyer contributed efficiently, posting the highest hitting percentage on the roster.
