Clayton named OAC Defensive Player of the Week for Third Time this season
Muskingum Junior Libero Katharine Clayton earned OAC Defensive of the Week for her play against Mount Union, Otterbein, and Carnegie Mellon.
Muskingum Junior Libero Katharine Clayton was named OAC Defensive Player of the Week for her standout performances during the Muskies three games this past week. Clayton recorded 75 digs, 16 assists, 39 receptions, and 2 service aces during games against Mount Union, Otterbein, and Carnegie Mellon.
In Game 1, the Muskies defeated the Mount Union Purple Riaders in 4 sets, for their Muskie Pride game. Clayton recorded 21 digs, 10 receptions, and 8 assists during the contest.
In game 2, the Muskies took on 20th ranked Otterbein to 4 sets, eventually dropping the contest 3-1. Clayton tallied 33 digs, 3 assists and 11 receptions against the Cardinals.
In the final game of the week against Carnegie Mellon, the Muskies took them to five sets, ultimatley losing 3-2. Clayton recorded 21 digs, 5 assists, 18 receptions and two service aces for the Muskies.
Clayton played in every set for the Muskies. The Muskies went 1-2 during the week.
The Muskies are back in action this Wednesday, October 22nd when they will travel to rival Marietta. First serve is set for 7:00pm in this OAC duel.
