The Muskingum volleyball team spiked Washington & Jefferson 3-1 but fell to Bethany 3-0 in a tri-match hosted at the Henry Memorial Gymnasium in Washington, Pa. Tuesday evening.
The Basics
- Records: Muskingum (12-5 overall), Bethany (9-10 overall), Washington & Jefferson (11-4 overall)

How It Happened
- Muskingum defeated tri-match host Washington & Jefferson 14-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22.
- After dropping set one, the Muskies went on to claim the next three sets behind the attack of junior Chloe Brandewie and senior Katie Hunt.
- Muskingum saw three individuals finish with double digit kills. Brandewie finished with 14, Hunt 13, and junior Mackenzie O'Shea with 10.
- The freshman combo of Kennedy Brown and Rhieannae Cory finished with 24 assists each.
- The Muskies finished with a team total 80 digs.
- Muskingum lost against Bethany 26-24, 25-19, 25-18.
- In set one, Hunt landed a crucial kill that knotted the frame at 22-22.
- After exchanging points, the Bethany attack was finally able to secure the win.
- Muskingum finished the contest with 34 kills and 32 assists.
- Junior Courtney Nestoff led the way with 10 kills.
- Brandewie and Hunt both finished with seven kills each.
- Cory shelled out 19 assists, while Brown added 10 assists.
