The Muskingum women's tennis team fell to the Saint Vincent Bearcats, 9-0 in their 2019 season home opener.
Saint Vincent took control of the match by sweeping first, second, and third doubles. The Bearcats used the early momentum to claim all six singles matches en route to the win.
The doubles pair of sophomore Sara Welsh and freshman Evelyn Pauquette provided a spark for the Muskies at second doubles. Welsh and Pauquette fell in a tight match against Kate Palko and Abby Jo Stull, 8-6.
Muskingum next travels to Waynesburg, Pennsylvania to battle the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets on Saturday, September 21. Start time is slated for 11:00 a.m.
