The Muskingum University women's soccer team earned a decisive 4-0 victory over Earlham on Wednesday evening at the North Turf Athletic Field.
The Muskies wasted no time taking control, with senior Madison Yenke scoring twice in the opening six minutes to give Muskingum a quick 2-0 lead. In the second half, junior Emma Morton extended the advantage with an unassisted strike in the 57th minute, and freshman Leah Skufca sealed the win in the 65th minute with her first career goal off an assist from senior Hannah Ritchie, who finished with two assists on the night.
Defensively, Muskingum was anchored by senior goalkeeper Kyleigh Dahlgren, who recorded five saves in 69 minutes of play to secure the shutout before freshman Lucie Cotner closed out the match.
With the victory, Muskingum improves to 2-5-0 on the season, while Earlham falls to 1-6-0.
