Muskies win road non-conference matchup with La Roche

The Muskingum women's soccer team defeated La Roche 3-2 in their road non-conference matchup.

The Basics

How it Happened
• The Muskies struck first with a goal by freshman Jillian Laposky off an assist from freshman Madison Yenke.
• However, La Roche was able to tie things up in the 29th minute with an unassisted goal by Alondra Gonzalez.
• La Roche captured the first-half lead with a goal by Leticia Alcaraz Rome in the 36th minute.
• That would conclude scoring in the first frame, with La Roche taking a 2-1 lead into the break.
• The second half opened with a quick goal by Muskie freshman Morgan Meisel in the 55th minute. Assisting Meisel's game-tying goal was freshman Madison Yenke.
• Meisel struck again in the 78th minute with her second goal of the night, this one off an assist from junior Monique Reil.
• Meisel's goal proved to eventually be the game-winner, and the Muskies won the contest, 3-2.

• Muskingum was led by freshman Morgan Meisel with two goals on five shots, while freshman Jillian Laposky added one goal on two shots.
• Freshman Madison Yenke dished out two assists and also tallied five shots, while junior Monique Reil chipped in one assist.

• Freshman goalie Jennafer Roberts tallied six saves for Muskingum.
