Muskingum University’s Night of Impact celebration inducted the newest members into the University’s Athletic Hall of Fame and recognized senior student-athletes from the University’s 21 NCAA Division III varsity sports. New Inductees into the Hall of Fame included Douglas Smart ’69 (Football), Kristina Naegele ’92 (Softball), Eric Caldwell ’92 (Track), and Annie Rome Stamm ’00 (Volleyball). The new inductees were also recognized during halftime of the February 9 basketball game. The Night of Impact was presented by Carol Goff & Associates Real Estate and hosted at EagleSticks Golf Club in Zanesville, Ohio.

In turn, Muskingum nominated the Ohio Athletic Conference Office and the OAC Athletic Departments of Baldwin Wallace, Capital, Heidelberg, John Carroll, Marietta, Mount Union, Ohio Northern, Otterbein and Wilmington.

Muskingum recognized senior Luke Weber prior to its Ohio Athletic Conference match against 10th-ranked Mount Union in the Recreation Center on Tuesday night.

Muskingum senior Luke Weber led the Muskie wrestling team in its dual match against Waynesburg on Tuesday night. Weber notched a hard-fought 7-2 decision in his 197-pound bout against Dan Mahon to provide the hosts with their lone points. Junior Malachi Bluhm and freshman James Keys both dropped close battles to help aid the Muskie effort.

Junior Luke Weber notched a fall in his 197-pound bout and freshman Rusty Lockhart grinded out a decision in his 184-pound match to pace Muskingum University on Tuesday night against Baldwin Wallace University on Senior Night. Prior to the match, Muskingum recognized seniors Mitch King, Christian Mason and Robert Powell.

The Muskingum University wrestling team pinned Baldwin-Wallace College on Senior Night Tuesday evening, 33-10. The bout marked the final home contest for seniors Michael Frasure and Brian Barnhart, who were both recognized prior to the contest.
