Wrestling competes at OAC Duals
The Muskingum wrestling team competed in three competitions at the OAC duals on Saturday evening against Heidelberg (L, 49-3), Baldwin Wallace (L, 45-6), and Otterbein (L, 49-4).
The Muskingum wrestling team competed in three competitions at the OAC duals on Saturday evening against Heidelberg (L, 49-3), Baldwin Wallace (L, 45-6), and Otterbein (L, 49-4).
The Muskies fell in all three battles on the evening to move to 1-6 overall and 0-5 in conference action.
Leading the Muskies on the mat was junior Garrett Mitchel, freshman Tanner Donathan, and freshman Hunter Heck. Mitchel competed in the 197 weight class and won by a 3-2 decision over Da'veon Parker of Heidelberg. Donathan won by fall in 4:42 competing in the 149 weight class defeating Connor Deboe of Baldwin Wallace. Heck defeated Chase Nelson of Otterbein by a 12-3 major decision in the 125 weight class.
The Muskies next compete at the Pete Willson Wheaton Invite starting on Friday, January 31. The matches are set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
