- The contest marked Muskingum's 2023 Senior Day celebrations. Prior to the OAC match-up, seniors Sara Woods, Valerie Deighton, and Raiyah Johnson were honored for their contributions to the women's lacrosse program.
How it Happened
- Both teams saw themselves tied at two at the end of the opening quarter.
- Ohio Northern used an 8-2 second quarter to pull ahead 10-4 heading into the break.
- The Polars outscored the Muskies 8-3 in the second half to earn the 18-7 victory.
Inside the Numbers
- Muskingum was led by sophomore Riley Hudock, who tallied three goals and a team-high five draw controls.
- Freshman Maria Decaminada added two goals, while freshman Malysea Flood and sophomore Megan Lang added a goal as well.
- Senior Raiyah Johnson and sophomore Milayna Williams had a team-best three caused turnovers. Johnson also chipped in an assist as well.
- Freshman Kyleigh Dahlgren made eight saves in 60 minutes of work in the net for the Muskies.
- Grace Wilson led Ohio Northern with four goals.
