Muskingum freshman Carly Spitz was named OAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the week for her outstanding play on Tuesday vs. Waynesburg and on Saturday vs. Hiram.
In the Waynesburg game, Spitz led the Muskies with five goals and one assist. Spitz secured nine draw controls and grabbed three ground balls. Her efforts helped lead the Muskies to a dominating 22-2 victory over Waynesburg. She also helped the Muskingum set the school records for goals in a game with 22 and draw controls in a game with 23.
In the Hiram game, Spitz guided the Muskies with a team-best four goals and three assists. Spitz tied the school record for assists in a game with three.
Muskingum next travels to Greenville, Pennsylvania to battle the Thiel College Tomcats on Wednesday, March 20. Start time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
