Muskingum Finishes 16th at Glen Carlson Invitational in Las Vegas
The Muskingum women’s bowling team delivered a strong showing on the national stage, finishing 16th at the prestigious Glen Carlson Invitational held at South Point in Las Vegas.
The Muskingum women's bowling team delivered a strong showing on the national stage, finishing 16th at the prestigious Glen Carlson Invitational held at South Point in Las Vegas. Competing against one of the deepest fields of the season, Muskingum battled across both days and hung tough against elite NCAA and NAIA programs.
Muskingum, ranked 15th nationally and the top-ranked club team in the country, opened the tournament facing No. 8-ranked UNOH. In a tightly contested matchup, Muskingum fell just 18 pins short, 1016–998, before responding with authority, winning its next four games to close out the opening round of competition.
The field featured heavy national talent, including No. 7 Spring Arbor, No. 9 Milligan, No. 12 St. Vincent, No. 13 Rochester, No. 14 Ottawa, No. 19 Missouri Baptist, No. 23 Calumet St. Joseph, and UNOH, along with several other top-50 programs. The tournament also included No. 2-ranked club team Coe College.
Muskingum was powered by standout performances from junior Tayler Clark, who posted a 199.5 average across eight games. Senior Elizabeth Springsteen finished 41st overall, and sophomore Bridget Cake placed 43rd, with all three bowlers delivering scores well above their season averages at one of the most competitive Tier 1 events in college bowling.
The invitational featured 336 bowlers, and showcased 42 teams over the two-day event.
