C. DeMassimo and Harrington earn Women's Basketball All-OAC accolades

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that junior forward Caitlyn DeMassimo and sophomore guard Claudia Harrington have earned All-OAC accolades for their performance on the court in the 2023-24 season. C. DeMassimo received All-OAC First Team and Harrington was named All-OAC Honorable Mention as this duo led the Muskies to the most wins in the regular season since the 2010-11 campaign. With these two receiving All-OAC accolades, they become the first pair for women's basketball to earn All-OAC in the same season since the 2012 campaign.

C. DeMassimo had the best year of her Muskingum career with career-high's in multiple statistical categories, which helped her earn the first Muskingum All-OAC First Team for women's basketball since the 2008 campaign. She scored over 400 points on the season with a 16.4 average that not only led the Muskies, but also led the entire Ohio Athletic Conference. She led the Muskies in rebounds per game with 7.8, which was also third in the Ohio Athletic Conference. She finished with a 49.7 field goal percentage to lead the Muskies and sit fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference. She finished in second in the Ohio Athletic Conference with 1.2 blocks per game, while also being eighth in steals per game with a 1.5 average. C. DeMassimo had her season-high of 33 points against Otterbein on February 10, while shooting 60 percent from the field and knocking down a season-high five three-pointers. She logged a season-high of 16 rebounds on November 19 against Albion, and put together impressive defensive performances against Trine with a career-high seven steals, and against Marietta with a career-high five blocks. She also added in eight double-doubles on the season.

Harrington fired off a dominant season with multiple impressive performances. She finished the season ranked in the Ohio Athletic Conference in multiple statistical categories, including being ranked sixth in scoring, tenth in rebounding, fifth in field-goal percentage, second in three-point percentage, and sixth in blocks. Harrington's numbers came out being a solid 13.4 points per game, grabbing 6.4 rebounds per game, and blocking one shot per game. Harrington also shot a blistering 47.6 percent from the field this season, which included shooting 40.9 percent from beyond the arc. Twice this season she tied her career-high for points in a game with 23. She did so in a 77-71 win over Ohio Wesleyan, and a 51-50 win over Mount Union. Harrington grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds in a 69-56 win over the Quakers. She also had her best defensive performance against Mount Union by grabbing three steals and tallying three blocks. Harrington had three double-doubles during her impressive season.
