Women's Basketball wins season opener against Waynesburg

Women's Basketball won on the road against Waynesburg in a 63-51 contest. Junior Caitlyn DeMassimo recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds to help the Muskies secure the win.

Inside The Numbers

• Junior Caitlyn DeMassimo led the Muskies in scoring with 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting (45.5%). She also grabbed a team high 15 rebounds and locked down on defense with a block and a steal on the stat line. 
• Sophomore Claudia Harrington registered double digit scoring with 13 points while adding in five rebounds, and three assists. 
• Junior Halle Morehead and sophomore Tori Jones each scored nine points for Muskingum. 
• Freshman Mckinzi Linscott threw in six points and three offensive rebounds. 
• Sophomore Lizzy Allen tallied five points, five assists, and nine rebounds in the contest. 
• Senior Taylor DeMassimo and sophomore Courtney Hivick rounded out the offense with three points each. 
• Muskingum went 20-of-54 (37%) from the field, and 7-of-22 (31.8%) from three point range.
• They also shot 16-of-22 (72.7%) from the free-throw line.
• The Muskies forced nine turnovers in the game, and added in four blocks on the defensive end of the court. 
• Muskingum recorded 46 total rebounds, 16 assists, five steals, and four blocks in the contest.
