Furious comeback fuels Women’s Basketball to victory

Despite trailing by 18 points midway through the third quarter, the Muskingum women's basketball team used a 24-8 fourth quarter run to propel themselves to a thrilling 61-57 win over the Cardinals.

• Freshman Claudia Harrington tallied 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists for the Muskies. Harrington was also clutch from the free-throw line finishing 8-for-8, including six free-throws in the final minute of the game to seal Muskingum's victory.
• Junior Taylor DeMassimo also got into double figures for the Muskies with 11 points. DeMassimo registered six rebounds and two assists as well.
• Sophomore Caitlyn DeMassimo added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds, while freshman Anna Lippiatt chipped in eight points and four rebounds for Muskingum.

• As a team, the Muskies tallied a 14-for-46 (30.4%) mark from the field, while Otterbein finished 21-for-59 (35.6%) from the floor.
• Muskingum shot 6-for-21 (28.6%) from three-point range, while Otterbein finished 7-for-17 (41.2%).
• Muskingum was a scorching 27-for-29 (93.1%) from the free-throw line, compared to 8-for-11 (72.7%) shooting from the stripe for the Cardinals.
• Muskingum finished with a 35-26 advantage in rebounds, and the Cardinals notched an 18-14 edge in points in the paint.
• Muskingum saw their bench produce 26 points, while Otterbein's bench tallied 17 points.
