Thomas Named OAC Pitcher of the Week

Muskingum junior Madelyn Thomas has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Pitcher of the week after her breakthrough performance last week.

This marks the second OAC Pitcher of the Week accolade in her career.

Thomas posted a 2-0 record from the circle after tossing 19.0 innings of work allowing zero runs and fired 13 strikeouts as she held opposing hitters to a .136 batting average.

In the OAC opener against JCU, Thomas pitched a complete game and struck out five and only allowed one hit in Muskingum's thrilling victory over the Blue Streaks.

 Thomas has an ERA of 1.57 through 53.1 innings pitched and has also notched 46 strikeouts in her 10 appearances this season.

Muskingum hits the road on Tuesday, April 4, to take on Wilmington in OAC action. First-pitch is scheduled for 3PM at WC Softball complex.
