Before coming to Muskingum, Fox spent a season as an assistant coach for the University of Minnesota Duluth softball team. During her time with the Bulldogs, Fox assisted with all aspects of the program. She planned and organized practices, analyzed film, worked with hitters and defense, and organized prospect camps. She also managed the academic requirements for the Bulldog student-athletes.
Prior to her time at Minnesota Duluth, Fox was an assistant coach for the Central Methodist University softball program. Her responsibilities included aiding in player development, managing student-athlete academics, and leading the JV softball program.
Fox was a four-year letterwinner and two-year captain for the Trine University softball program. Fox finished her tenure as a 2-time All-American honoree, 3-time All-Region selection, and a 3-time First Team All-MIAA honoree. Fox also led Trine to the NCAA Division III Softball World Series and was twice named to the National Player of the Year watchlist. She finished her career with the Thunder as an all-time career leader in home runs (62), RBIs (206), and slugging percentage (.786).
After her college career, Fox joined the American Softball Association League, a professional summer league based in Mobile, Alabama. She played a season and was recognized as a First Team All-ASBA honoree. She returned the following season as a field coach for the league, where she helped with game-day operations and organized the communication between athletes and management.
Fox earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Trine in 2018 and earned her Masters of Education at Central Methodist in 2020.
