The Muskingum softball team will begin its quest for a 19th Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament championship on Friday when the four-seed Muskies play top-seed and host Otterbein at 12:00 p.m. The OAC Tournament, which runs May 4-6, is a double-elimination format with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Muskingum softball team remain red hot after defeating non-conference opponent Thomas More by the final scores of 6-5 and 7-2 in their home opener at the Donna J. Newberry Field on a chilly Sunday afternoon. The Muskies improve to 15-1 overall on the season.

Softball sweeps Wilmington in conference opener

The Muskingum softball team opened up its Ohio Athletic Conference opener by sweeping Wilmington on the road by the final scores of 6-1 and 4-3 (nine innings) on Friday evening. The sweep moved Muskingum to 36-0 all-time against Wilmington.
