Softball drops OAC DH at Otterbein
The Muskingum softball team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader at Otterbein on Friday. The Cardinals claimed the opener 3-0 and won game two on a walk-off grand slam, 8-7.

The Muskingum softball team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader at Otterbein on Friday. The Cardinals claimed the opener 3-0 and won game two on a walk-off grand slam, 8-7.
The Basics

Game One
- Otterbein scored one run in the bottom of the first inning and two in the second to claim the win.
- The Muskies finished the contest with four hits and left four runners stranded on base.
- Muskingum was led at the plate by senior Jessica Matthews and junior Haylea Debolt going 1-for-3.
- Megan Garner led the Cardinals going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
- Otterbein scored three runs on eight hits.
- Rachael Owens recorded the win for Otterbein pitching a four hit shutout.
- Senior Haley Dotson tossed the loss for the Muskies throwing two inning surrendering three runs on four hits.
Game Two
- Muskingum scored the games first run in the top of the first as Debolt homered to left field.
- The Muskies tacked on three more runs in the top of the third inning before the Cardinals rallied back tying the contest at 4-4.
- Muskingum responded as sophomore Rachel Eberling went yard, recording homeruns in the top of the fifth and top of the seventh to give Muskingum the 7-4 lead.
- Otterbein used a two out walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh to claim the win.
- Muskingum plated seven runs on 11 hits.
- Debolt pitched the loss for the Muskies, throwing 4.2 innings and allowing four runs.
- Otterbein was led by Bailey McElwain going 1-for-4 with a grand slam.
- Kasey Morris recorded the win going surrendering two runs on four hits.
