The Muskingum men's lacrosse team overpowered Bethany on Wednesday night, 16-5.

- Senior Tucker Haas led the Muskies in scoring with five goals on 13 shots.
- Senior Ryan Stacey and freshman Zachary Westmeyer added three goals each.
- Freshman Josh Fletcher tallied a team-best four assists and nine ground balls.
- Freshman Luke Swartz managed Muskingum's defense with five caused turnovers and three ground balls.
- Freshman goalie Quentin Lawrence started in the frame for Muskingum and made five saves.
- Will Gatling guided Bethany with two goals on five shots.
- Andrew Smith started in goal for the Bison and recorded 20 saves.
- Muskingum started off hot by scoring three unanswered goals in the first nine minutes of play.
- The Bison answered with a goal, but Stacey fired in a shot one minute later to make it 4-1 at the end of the first quarter.
- Bethany cut the deficit to two when they scored at the beginning of the second quarter.
- The Muskies quickly retaliated with four consecutive goals to enter the break with an 8-2 advantage.
- In the third quarter, Muskingum pushed their lead to nine points after scoring three goals in the first four minutes of play.
- Bethany tallied a goal, but the Muskies swiftly answered with two of their own, bringing the score to 13-3 at the end of the third quarter.
- Two minutes into the fourth quarter, Fletcher ripped a shot past the goalie off an assist from junior Nick Klinefelter.
- The Muskies maintained control and went on to secure their second-straight home victory.
- The Muskies will welcome Calvin to the North Athletic Turf Field on Saturday, March 2 for a 2:00 p.m. contest.
