Henry, Congrove earn All-OAC honors, lead Men’s Golf at OAC Championship

Juniors Cameron Henry and Nick Congrove earned All-OAC honors to lead the Muskingum men's golf team to a fifth place finish at the OAC Championship this weekend.

The Basics

• Muskingum hosted the event at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette, Ohio.
• Otterbein claimed first place for the event with a 72-hole score of 1,167 (298, 287, 289, 293).
• Muskingum finished fifth out of nine teams with a score of 1,214 (308, 308, 299, 299).
• Capital's Angelo Donato earned medalist honors after defeating Otterbein's Ian Johnston and Muskingum's Cameron Henry in a playoff. All three golfers finished with a 72-hole score of 289.

Notables

• Junior Cameron Henry tied for first place out of the 45-golfer field with a score of 289 (77, 75, 69, 68). Henry's round three score of 69 set a new career-low, only to follow it up with another career-low round of 68 on Sunday.
• Henry earns All-OAC honors for the second straight season after tallying a 14^th place finish last year.
• Henry is also Muskingum's highest individual placer since 2007 when Dan Fisher tallied medalist honors for the event.
• Henry also tallied a new program record with a season scoring average of 74.24. This breaks the previous record of 74.55 set by Adam Lescalleet during the 2002-03 season.
• Junior Nick Congrove tallied a career-low of 70 for the Muskingum during round three. Congrove finished tied for sixth place as an individual to secure his first career All-OAC honor.
• Senior Chase Karling set a new career-low with a 73 during round one of the championship.

On the Course

• Muskingum was led by junior Cameron Henry who tallied a four-round score of 289 (77, 75, 69, 68). 68 is a new career-low for Henry, and he finished tied for first as an individual despite dropping the playoff for medalist honors.
• Junior Nick Congrove recorded a score of 293 (78, 73, 70, 72) to finished tied for sixth and earn his first career All-OAC honor. Congrove's score of 70 in round three sets a new career low.
• Behind Congrove was senior Chase Karling who finished with a score of 318 (73, 82, 82, 81). Karling's opening round score of 73 sets a new career low, and he finished 35^th overall.
• Junior Nicholas Luniewski notched a score of 319 (80, 83, 78, 78) to finish 36^th, while senior Jack Williams rounded out Muskingum's scores with a 327 (82, 78, 84, 83).
