Thro honored with 2nd Team NCBCA All-American and IBMA All-American
Muskingum men's bowling senior Evan Thro was awarded 2nd Team National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association and 2nd Team International Bowling Media Association honors for his play this season. Thro was the leading force on the men's bowling team with a 216.9 average score through 51 games.

Thro is now a three-time NCBCA All-American and first-time IBMA All-American with an impressive resume at Muskingum that continues to grow. He added to an incredeible resume that included being a four-time First Team All-OBC (2022-25), a First Team CTBCA All-American (2023-24), a member of the Club National Championship Team (2022-23), Player of the Year in the Collegiate Club Championships (2024-25), a Ohio Bowling Conference Newcomer of the Year (2021-22), and awarded to the All-OBC Freshman Team (2021-22). Thro also was awarded a OBC 300 Jacket (2022-23).
Thro has helped make history and push the Muskingum men's bowling team to new heights. He was a main contributor to the team as they qualified for the ITC National Championships for the first time in program history in spring 2024. Thro then helped the team again this season as they won the USBC Sectionals for the first time and once again qualified for the ITC National Championships for a second-straight season.
Thro is also one of two Muskies to ever qualify for the ISC's which is reserved for the top 24 individuals in the country. Thro competed in the ISC's at the end of the 2023-24 season.
Thro this season is ranked 12th in average out of 695 bowlers in the USBC rankings.
Muskingum, led by Thro's experience, will look for an impressive result at the ITC National Championships this week. The Muskies are currently in qualifying rounds before rounds one and two begin today at 4:00 p.m. The team will then resume action tomorrow at 7:45 a.m. for round three.
The International Bowling Media Association awards were presented in conjunction to the Intercollegiate Team and Singles Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada.
