The Ohio Bowling Conference (OBC) has named four Muskingum men’s bowlers to the Academic All-OBC Honor Roll for their exceptional performances in the classroom and on the lanes this season.
The National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) has named junior Andrew Amore and freshman Connor Collins Academic All-Americans for their outstanding performances both on the lanes and in the classroom this year. To be selected to the NCBCA Academic Team, a bowler must be a United States Bowling Congress (USBC) collegiate athlete who has a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 based on a 4.0 scale.
The Muskingum bowling teams competed in the Intercollegiate Single Championships (ISC) and Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) sectionals at Smynra Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tennessee. On the men’s side, the Muskies finished 14th out of a 20-team field. Junior Ethan McDonald finished fourth and punched his ticket to the ISC nationals hosted in Las Vegas. On the women’s side, Muskingum finished 13th out of a 17-team field. Sophomore Hailey Yingst led Muskingum finishing 31st.
The Muskingum men’s bowling team was ranked third out of 42 teams in the Collegiate Club National rankings.
The Muskingum Men's Bowling team finished first out of a 16-team field to secure an OBC Tournament Title over the weekend in Columbus. The Muskies finished with an overall pinfall of 7805 and saw three bowlers earn All-OBC honors.
With top 10 finishes from four bowlers, the Muskingum men’s bowling team tallied their third tournament title of the season notching an overall team score of 7245 at the Muskie Mash on Saturday.
Sophomore Evan Thro rolled a five-game series of 1155 to finish 10th out of a 469-bowling field to lead the Muskingum men’s bowling team at the Kegel/ISBPA Collegiate Classic in Addison, Ill. The Muskies finished as runners-up out of a 71-team field as a team, knocking down a grand total of 9823 pins.
The Muskingum men’s bowling team closed out its 2022 action by competing at the Keystone Quaker LV Classic in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Freshman Kenny Haslip rolled a five-game series of 1078 (208-242-214-218-196) en route to securing a first-place finish to guide the Muskingum men’s bowling team at an Ohio Bowling Conference event on Saturday. As a team, the Muskies placed third out of a 14-team field with an overall score of 7135.
The Muskingum men’s bowling team finished eighth out of a 26-team field over the weekend at the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic held in Marietta, Georgia.
