Men's Basketball Earns NABC Academic Honors
The Muskingum men's basketball program has been recognized for its outstanding academic achievement by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), with five Fighting Muskies earning NABC Honors Court recognition and the program receiving the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
Representing Muskingum on the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court were senior Logan Stotzer, junior Reed Coconis, junior Tanner Holbert, junior Owen Emig, and junior Nathan Walker.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes men's college basketball student-athletes who excel academically while competing at the collegiate level. To be eligible for the distinction, student-athletes must be academically classified as a junior, senior, or graduate student, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year, and compete at an institution with at least one active NABC-member coach.
In addition to the individual honors, the Fighting Muskies were awarded the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, recognizing programs that achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the previous academic year.
The award highlights Muskingum's commitment to success both on the court and in the classroom, as every student-athlete listed on the team's roster during the academic year is included in the team's GPA calculation. Programs from both four-year and two-year institutions with at least one active NABC-member coach are eligible for consideration.
