Men's Basketball Falls in Tight Road Battle

The Muskingum Men's basketball team traveled to Ohio Northern on Saturday afternoon and battled in a tough game, ultimately dropping the contest, 73-65. Senior Duane Davis led the Muskies with 14 points.

• Senior Duane Davis tried to will his team to victory, contributing 14 points on 6 of 12 shooting with 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. 
• Sophomore Alieu Ceesay added 12 points for Muskingum on 4 of 6 shooting. Ceesay also pulled down 7 rebounds and added 1 assist. 
• Freshman J'Allen Barrino pitched in 12 points off the bench on 6 of 8 shooting. Barrino also registered 8 rebounds and 1 steal.
• Junior Owen Emig tallied 10 points on the afternoon. Emig also had 1 assist.
• Sophomore Phil Towns came off the bench and contributed 8 points on 2 of 3 shooting. Towns also pulled down 1 rebound.
• As a team, Muskingum shot 25 of 60 from the field, 3 for 19 from three, and 12 of 21 from the free-throw line. Muskingum pulled down 34 assists, dished out 10 assists, and had 7 steals and 3 blocks. 
• Theo Magg led Ohio Northern with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
• Aiden Harris and Will Miller each tallied 15 points for the Polar Bears.

• The Muskies will be back in action on Wednesday, January 14, when they will host Wilmington for their Muskie Pride game. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 pm in the Steele Center, and the Brook Jump Rope Team will be performing at halftime.
