Men's Basketball Rocks the Rec

Sophomore Joshua Keyes led the Muskies with a double-double with a career-high 14 rebounds and 14 points. Keyes, who leads the OAC in field goal shooting percentage, connected on 6-of-7 from the field. Keyes also registered four blocks and three steals.
Junior Christian Keller added 14 points and five assists, while senior Logan Kimble had 13 points and five boards. Kimble now stands at 950 career points.
Sophomore Mitchell Stephens rounded out the strong effort with 10 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting.
Muskingum (5-11, 2-7) ended the game shooting .500 (29-of-58) from the floor. The Muskies held a 39-31 edge in rounds and outscored the Crusaders 36-16 in the paint.
Capital (4-12, 2-7) was led by Curt Geise and Charles English, with each scoring 10 points.
The Crusaders shot .314 (16-of-51) from the field.
Muskingum, which led the entire game, opened the contest with an 8-0 surge through the opening four minutes of play. The Muskies stretched their lead to 32-20 with 3:05 remaining on a Keyes jumper and turned back a late Capital run with back-to-back three-point shots by Stephens to end the half with a 38-26 lead.
In the second half, Muskingum maintained a double-digit lead and following a Stephens basket at the 10:02 mark had a 58-40 lead. The Muskies led by as many as 21 late in the contest.
Muskingum next plays at Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, January 24. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
