The Muskingum men's basketball team suffered a 100-78 setback at Wilmington on Saturday afternoon.
The Muskies were led by senior Logan Kimble and junior Christian Keller. Kimble scored a team-high 16 points with five rebounds, while Keller added 15 points and four rebounds.
Sophomore Brenden Mathews notched a career-best 11 points on 4-of-4 shooting from the field, with a pair of free throws.
Muskingum (4-11, 1-7) ended the game shooting .534 (31-of-58) from the floor.
Wilmington (6-8, 3-5) was led by Jonathan Bibbs who scored a game-high 25 points on a perfect 11-of-11 shooting and a 3-for-4 performance from the free throw line. Christian Jones also added 15 points.
The Quakers shot .615 (32-of-52) from the field.
Wilmington used a late 10-3 run in the first half to take a double-digit lead into the break at 46-35.
In the second half, the Quakers quickly stretched its lead to 60-41 through the opening three-plus minutes of action. Wilmington led by as many as 34 en route to the home win.
Muskingum next hosts Capital on Wednesday, January 21. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
