Muskingum senior Logan Kimble led the team with 13 points and five rebounds. Junior Christian Keller added 12 points and three steals.
Freshman Rickey Wilson scored a career-high nine points and the sophomore tandem of Joshua Glass and Joshua Keyes each had eight points.
Muskingum (4-10, 1-6) ended the game shooting .460 (23-of-50) from the field.
DeAllen Jackson led five Purple Raiders in double digits with 18 points. Jarrett Ruffin added 14 points and Taylor Moore, Nate Jacubec and JJ Kukura each had 12 points.
Mount Union (10-4, 6-1) shot .464 from the field and ended the game with a 40-20 advantage in rebounds.
After the opening 10 minutes of play, the Muskies held a 14-13 edge. Mount Union closed the last 10 minutes of the first half on a 29-12 run to take a 42-26 lead into the break.
In the second half, Mount Union scored the first six points on back-to-back three-point shots and remained in control throughout the contest.
Muskingum next plays at Wilmington on Saturday, January 17. Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
