Playoffs and Esports Recap (3/19-4/1)

The Muskingum Esports team competed in Overwatch 2, Madden, College Football, and Rocket League over the course of the end of March and got into Playoffs.

Thursday, March 19th

• The Muskingum JV Rocket League team competed in ECAC play against Brooklyn College and lost 4-1.
• Sophomore Jesse Wolford competed in ECAC play and took on Brewton-Parker in Madden and lost 2-1.

Friday, March 20th

• Junior Marshal Sayre competed in ECAC College Football action against Morris Brown College and lost 2-1.
• The Muskingum Overwatch 2 team competed in GLEC play against Ashland and won 3-0.
• The Muskingum JV Rocket League team took on Bridgewater College in ECAC play and lost 4-1.
• The Muskingum Overwatch 2 team also competed in ECAC play against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and won 2-1.

Playoffs:

Wednesday, March 25th

• Sophomore Jesse Wolford competed in the ECAC Play-ins and played 3 College Football games. He took on Moravian and lost 1-0, then followed it up with a 1-0 win against Columbia College, and then had to take on Moravian again and lost 1-0.
• Junior Marshal Sayre played two games in the ECAC Play-ins for College football against Bushnell and won both games 1-0. 

Thursday, March 26th

• The Muskingum Rocket League team took on Ohio Northern in GLEC play and lost 4-1.
• The Muskingum Rocket League team competed against Nichols College and dropped that contest to medical forfeit.

Friday, March 27th

• The Muskingum OVerwatch 2 team took on #8 Saint Zavier in GLEC play and lost 3-0.
• The Muskingum Overwatch 2 team followed that up with a 3-0 win over #6 Heidelberg in GLEC play.

Wednesday, April 1st

• Sophomore Jesse Wolford took on Brewton-Parker in the ECAC Playoffs for College Football and lost 2-0.
• Junior Marshal Sayre competed in the ECAC College Football Playoffs for College Football against #2 Southern University and lost 2-0.

Thursday, Arpil 2nd

• The Muskingum Overwatch 2 team took on #1 Alma in the ECAC Playoffs and lost in a 3-2 battle. 
• Sophomore Jesse Wolford competed in the ECAC Madden Playoffs against #13 Keiser University and lost 2-0.
