Baseball Places Three on CSC Academic All-District Team
Muskingum baseball student-athletes Sam Palmieri, Jackson Duchesne, and Conner Thamann have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing their outstanding achievements both on the field and in the classroom.
Palmieri, a senior infielder majoring in history and education, delivered a standout campaign for the Muskies. He started all 40 games and batted .288 while leading the team with 11 home runs, 15 doubles, and a .616 slugging percentage. Palmieri also drove in 42 RBIs, scored 41 runs, and posted a strong .433 on-base percentage, ranking among the team's offensive leaders.
Duchesne, a senior outfielder majoring in engineering, was a key contributor across 36 games with 32 starts. He hit .313 with 36 hits, adding 20 RBIs and 26 runs scored. Duchesne also tallied 13 walks and 10 stolen bases, finishing with a .419 on-base percentage while providing consistent production throughout the lineup.
Thamann, a junior infielder majoring in elementary and special education, appeared in 33 games and made 33 starts. He recorded a .270 batting average with 33 hits, including five doubles, one triple, and two home runs. Thamann also added 26 RBIs and helped anchor the middle infield for the Muskies.
The 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program honors student-athletes in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
