Krupar named OAC Baseball Co-Coach of the Year, Vosters, Palmieri, Beavon, and Mellerson Earn All-OAC Honors
Muskingum Baseball Head Coach Jake Krupar was named Ohio Athletic Conference Co-Coach of the year, while senior Max Vosters was named to First Team All-OAC, senior Sam Palmieri and freshman Josh Beavon earned Second Team honors, and junior Grant Mellerson earned Honorable Mention All-OAC following a strong 2026 season.
Under Coach Krupar's leadership, Muskingum advanced to the OAC Tournament for the first time since the 2010 season. Krupar led the team to a solid 9-7 record in OAC play, finishing fourth. The Muskies were among the top half of the OAC in pitching (3rd), fielding (4th), and batting (5th).
Vosters, a First Team All-OAC selection, was the ace for the Muskie bullpen, providing big-time performances either starting on the mound or throwing in relief. Vosters posted a 3.38 ERA, which was good for fifth in the conference. Vosters had a 6-2 record in 17 appearances and tossed 56 innings with 47 strikeouts. Vosters' most impressive outing this year was against Marietta, where he pitched a complete game two-hitter and struck out seven. Vosters followed that up with a three-inning outing against #16 Baldwin Wallace, where he allowed one hit and recorded 4 strikeouts. Vosters earned the OAC Player of the Week following these impressive performances.
Palmieri, a Second Team All-OAC selection, had an impressive senior season. Palmieri posted a .288 batting average with 11 home runs, 42 hits, a team-high 42 RBIs, and an on-base percentage of .433. Palmieri was a key piece to the infield, recording 125 putouts on 195 chances. He posted a fielding percentage of .979 and added 66 assists with 17 double plays turned.
Beavon had an impressive freshman campaign, earning a Second Team All-OAC nod. The Muskie posted a .321 batting average, ranking 21st in the conference and fourth on the team. Beavon recorded 22 RBIs on 34 hits. Beavon scored 19 runs and tallied a home run. He also had a slugging percentage of .425 and an on-base percentage of .430. Beavon ranked third in the OAC with his fielding percentage of .994.
Mellerson was a force for the Muskie offense, named to the Honorable Mention All-OAC this year and leading the team in batting average with a .364, which ranked sixth in the conference. Mellerson totaled 55 hits on 151 at-bats and 24 RBIs. Mellerson scored 38 runs on the year with an on-base percentage of .436 and a slugging percentage of .470.
