Game 1
Ohio Northern
Muskingum battled until the final out, scoring three runs in the top of the ninth inning, but fell to Ohio Northern 8-4 on the second day of the OAC Tournament in Alliance.
Muskingum and Ohio Northern were locked in a pitcher's duel through the first four innings before the Polar Bears broke through in the fifth with two runs to take an early lead. Muskingum's freshman starter Colten Muhlenkamp kept the Muskies within striking distance, tossing seven innings while allowing just two runs and striking out two. The Muskies finally got on the board in the seventh when junior Grant Mellerson drove in a run, cutting the deficit to 2-1 heading into the late innings.
Ohio Northern responded with a decisive six-run eighth inning to pull away and take an 8-1 advantage. Muskingum refused to go quietly in the ninth, as senior Mike Davis launched a three-run home run after entering as a pinch hitter, but the comeback attempt fell short. Sophomore Daelyn Jarman recorded Muskingum's lone extra-base hit with a double, while the Muskies drew four walks despite being limited to just three hits overall.
This concludes the 2026 Muskingum baseball season.
