Muskies defeat Capital in 10-Inning thriller
The Muskingum Baseball team traveled to Capital to finish their two game series with the Comets. The Muskies took down Capital 4-3 in a 10 inning thriller on Thursday afternoon. The Muskies won game one of the series 23-4.

How It Happened
The Muskies started the scoring with a run in the top of the second inning. Capital responded with 2 runs in the fifth inning, but the Muskies responded right back with two runs in the top of the sixth. Capital added another run in the bottom of the seventh to even the score at 3-3. The Muskies took the game to the top of the tenth inning, and scored a run due to Conner Thamamm's sac fly that scored Jayden Helmick. Max Vosters kept Capital in line to close out the game 4-3.

- Junior Aiden Reis led Muskies with 3 hits on 5 at bats. Reis also scored 1 run.
- Junior Conner Thamann went 2 for 3 at the plate and had 3 RBIs. Thamman recorded a sac fly in the 10th to score Jayden Helmick to give the Muskies a 4-3 lead.
- Senior Jackson Duchesne registered an RBI on the afternoon.
- The Muskies logged 11 hits on 39 at bats, with 4 RBIs on 4 runs.
- Sophomore Lex Castaneda pitched 7 innings, giving up 3 runs and 6 hits. Castaneda recorded 6 strikeouts.
- Senior Max Vosters pitched 3 innings in relief and had 2 strikeouts and earned the win.
