How it Happened
Guilford jumped out to an early lead, scoring a run in each of the first two innings to go up 2-0. Muskingum responded in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings, scoring 2 runs in each of those innings. Guilford had another two runs in the seventh inning to bring it to 6-4 in favor of the Muskies. Muskingum tallied their last run in the eighth inning to make the score 7-4 going into the 9th. The Muskies allowed 2 runs in the final inning but held on to secure the victory.
