Muskingum Athletics Golf Outing Draws Full Field in Support of Fighting Muskie Student-Athletes

The Muskingum Athletic Department welcomed alumni, friends, supporters, and community members to EagleSticks Golf Club for its annual Golf Outing on Friday, July 17, as a full field turned out for one of the department's most anticipated events of the year.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of EagleSticks Golf Club, the day was filled with friendly competition, fellowship, and Muskie pride. The annual outing continues to serve as the Athletic Department's premier fundraising event while bringing together those who share a passion for supporting Muskingum's student-athletes and 25 varsity programs.

"Our annual outing is more than a round of golf—it's a day to celebrate Fighting Muskie athletics, connect with friends, and invest in the future of our student-athletes. I am grateful to all of the alumni, friends, and corporate partners who supported us along the way—knowing that every dollar raised will impact our division during this upcoming academic year is exciting," said Muskingum Associate Vice President for Athletics Kari Winters. "I would love to give special thanks to Associate AD, Tom Caudill, to our athletic staff, and to the wonderful staff at Eaglesticks for their tremendous efforts, cultivating yet another high energy event!"
 
This year's outing featured 34 teams and 136 golfers competing in an 18-hole scramble format. Throughout the day, participants enjoyed opportunities to reconnect with former teammates, classmates, coaches, and friends while making a meaningful impact on the future of Fighting Muskie Athletics.

The event also included a post-round dinner, the popular golf ball drop fundraiser, and an online auction that generated additional support for Muskingum Athletics. Prizes were awarded to the top-finishing foursome as well as winners of several on-course contests.

A special thank you goes to EagleSticks Golf Club and its outstanding staff for their exceptional hospitality, first-class service, and the outstanding condition of the course.

Funds raised through the annual Golf Outing help enhance the student-athlete experience across all Muskingum athletic programs, providing opportunities that support both academic and athletic success.
