Muskingum announces Hall of Fame Class to be inducted during Night of Impact
Muskingum University will induct its newest members into the Athletic Hall of Fame during the Night of Impact on Friday, February 2, at 6:30 p.m.
Muskingum University will induct its newest members into the Athletic Hall of Fame during the Night of Impact on Friday, February 2, at 6:30 p.m. The event will be presented by Carol Goff & Associates Real Estate and hosted on the Mezzanine Level at the Bullock Health and Wellness Complex on Muskingum's campus.
The class of inductees includes Jim Kornokovich '01 (Football), Gary Thompson '92 (Baseball), Amy Iammarino '08 (Softball), and Doug Jewitt '83 (Wrestling).
Kornokovich was a USA Football.com Honorable Mention All-American and two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree as an offensive lineman. He was also honored with Academic All-OAC accolades.
Thompson was honored with Third Team All-American honors as a pitcher and is the Muskingum career strikeout leader (206). He also ranks in the top five in wins (19) and earned run average (2.61). Thompson was also recognized with Academic All-OAC accolades.
Iammarino was a Third Team All-American honoree and two-time First Team All-OAC selection. She helped lead the Muskies to four Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, three NCAA Regional Championships, and three NCAA World Series appearances.
Jewitt was an All-American in the 158-pound weight class, a two-time National Qualifier, and a two-time OAC champion. He also finished runner-up at the OAC Championships.
