The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced that senior wide receiver Damon Jones, senior defensive lineman Staci Wilson, sophomore defensive lineman Tim Ousley, and senior linebacker Mick Fishel earned Second Team All-OAC honors. Senior defensive end Chris Weck and senior offensive lineman Brannon Scott were recognized with All-OAC Honorable Mention.
The Muskingum women's basketball team played their second straight home contest against non-conference opponent Oberlin in the Anne C. Steele Center on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies came out aggressive in the first half, but Oberlin stepped up in the second half to capture the win, 61-57.
On the final day of the Westminster Tipoff Classic, the Muskingum men's basketball team fought a hard battle against Thiel, but fell in a heartbreaking contest by the final score of 85-84. Marcus Dempsey was named to the Buzz Ridl All-Tournament Team after his outstanding two-day performance as he registered 58 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.
The Muskingum men's basketball team opened up the season at Westminster on day one of the two-day Westminster Tipoff Classic in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. The Titans and Muskies took turns exchanging lead changes throughout the contest, but Westminster grabbed the victory, 89-80.

After falling in the first two sets, the Muskies fought the Student Princes in set three, fighting a back-and-forth battle before falling in heartbreaking fashion in straight sets, 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 28-26).
The Muskingum volleyball team will host the fifth seed Heidelberg in the opening round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m. for a BLACKOUT. The winner of the contest will advance to the OAC Final Four on Thursday, November 2 and play the winner between #1 Otterbein and #8 John Carroll.
The Muskingum volleyball team came out of the Anne C. Steele Center victorious on Saturday afternoon as they hosted a Tri-Match that featured Ohio Athletic Conference foe John Carroll and non-conference opponent Denison on Senior Day. Muskingum swept John Carroll in straight sets, 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-9) and clinched the fourth seed in the OAC Tournament. The Muskies will host the fifth seed Heidelberg on Tuesday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m. in the opening round of the OAC Tournament. Muskingum also defeated Denison in four sets, 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-22, 25-14).
Rachel Timberlake was the first Muskingum freshman women's cross country runner to earn All-Ohio Athletic Conference Second Team honors after placing 10th and helped guide the Muskies team to finish sixth overall on Saturday afternoon. The Ohio Athletic Conference Championships was hosted by Heidelberg University.
After 16 years of service leading the Fighting Muskies and more than 40 years in intercollegiate athletics, Muskingum University Athletic Director Larry Shank will retire at the end of the current academic year, the University announced today. His last day with the University will be June 30, 2018.
